About Luke

Luke Harrison is the founder of the Australian Adaptive Boxing Council. Drawing on both lived and professional experience, he is passionate about creating opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sport. Through coaching, mentoring, and community engagement, Luke works to remove barriers to participation and help athletes build confidence, develop skills, and create opportunities they may never have thought possible.

Vision for AABC

Luke's vision for AABC is to create a safe, inclusive, and nationally recognised pathway for adaptive boxing across Australia. He sees AABC as a conduit between athletes, coaches, gyms, officials, and community organisations, helping to create opportunities, build connections, and develop a sustainable future for adaptive boxing. From training for fitness and personal development through to exhibition and competitive opportunities, AABC aims to adapt each bout to meet athletes where they're at, creating safe, meaningful opportunities for participation and progression. Luke plans to build relationships with similar organisations internationally and support the long-term goal of adaptive boxing achieving Paralympic recognition.
